Academics

Academics comes first at Legacy, we hold our athletes to an elite standard. With each kid aspiring to receive a scholarship offer to go to college, we instill that they maintain an average GPA of 2.5+ in order to participate in what our program has to offer. Here at legacy we will treat our athletes like Collegiate Student Athletes, giving them all the resources available to be successful. We will have weekly progress reports, tutoring, mentorship and reward students with academic excellence.

Life Skill Based Learning

Our academic periods consist of an emphasis on the given academic (core) subject standard structure, while also incorporating how that standard or practice can be applied in real life application (life skills)

Learning Outcome Goals

Students at Legacy Prep will be able to define and concentrate on their goals within the academic world. Being able to apply the knowledge the student has learned to enhance their progress in life is the #1 learning outcome at Legacy Prep Academy.

Math & Finance

Finance represents money management and the process of acquiring needed funds. Finance also encompasses the oversight, creation, and study of money, banking, credit, investments, assets, and liabilities that make up financial systems. Legacy Prep Academy feels it’s important for students to develop these skills.While understanding and learning math concepts, incorporating a finance principle along with the math lesson is how we keep students engaged in the material.

Science & Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is a skill in which you question, analyze, interpret, evaluate and make a judgment about what you read, hear, say, or write. Understanding objective thinking and conversing about it , is where science thrives. By creating more discussion and discourse about science and or theories, Legacy Academy Prep is able to show proof of how we are contributing to the world’s new scientific thinking minds.

History & Psychology

History is the study of change over time, and it covers all aspects of human society. Political, social, economic, scientific, technological, medical, cultural, intellectual, religious and military developments are all part of history. While studying history and incorporating psychological perspectives of people in different times, students are able to enhance their psychological awareness in matters. Aligning this with their athletic performance can be key to helping them overcome adversity in their given sport.

English & Communication

English language arts education incorporates the teaching and learning of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing. Integration of language arts occurs in multiple ways. First, curriculum, instruction, and assessment reflect the integration of listening, speaking, viewing, reading, and writing. Being able to communicate is almost everything in the working world and society. Being able to effectively communicate your ideas is a tool that students will focus on when learning within their English class.
